Hardworking little me UNBELIEVABLE!

It has been an interesting semester. Finally it has ended! Yay! Now I can do what I always wanted to do. Sleep slack and just relax. But silly me decided to be hardworking this holidays and get a job.

I and a friend headed down to a company somewhere along Raffles City for a job interview. Not knowing what to expect, I decided to dress properly and make a very good first impression. For reasons known only to me, I wouldn’t be revealing the name of the company but I can only say that it is a recruiting agency. We took a while finding the place hopefully we won’t end up being late for the appointment. Finally, we got the brilliant idea of asking people for directions when we were told to our embarrassment that the building we were looking for is just the next one and it was only a few steps away. Now at least I have learnt one thing, when in doubt just ask lest u make a FOOL of yourself. So we took the lift to the tenth story and met our recruit person. Her name is Emma, she’s really nice but she talks too fast almost as if she was in a rush. Sad to say I did not have a very good impression of her. She was just too impatient for me.

But I wanted the job so I decided to put up with her. She gave some details about the job we were interested in. sounded good! The pay was good, the working hours weren’t that bad either and it would only last for a month. Good! Then I can have at least 2 weeks to myself to sleep slack and relax, stuff which I wanted to do from the very beginning. But the difference is now I can sleep slack and relax in style and with some money in my pockets. Haha.

We were told to be prepared for another interview with the actual company that we will be working for. And Emma kept reminding us to put on makeup and make sure we looked presentable. “Remember ah, must put on makeup and smile and try not to be nervous. Then you can confirm get the job.” So with those words of wisdom in mind, we waited for her to call us and get us the interview.

Wednesday afternoon, I got a call from Emma asking me if I could make it for an interview the next day. Without a moments thought, not because I was skipping school or anything but Thursday are always my free days, I said ok and so the date was set. I couldn’t be happier. Hopefully I will be able to get the job. =)

Thursday came and I dressed and got ready. Was suppose to be at Merchant Square by 445pm. Decided to leave earlier in case I can’t find the place and ended up being late for the interview. Well then it won’t be a very good impression. Got off at Clarke Quay MRT station and promptly got lost, recalling the lesson learnt; I started asking people for directions. Had to ask at least three people but at least I knew I was getting closer. Finally I saw it! MERCHANT SQUARE it was just a small building tucked away in some obscure place. It looked more like an office instead of a shopping centre. Guess what!? The interior of the place was just gorgeous. I couldn’t imagine the company that I was looking for in another place. It is so befitting the name Estee Lauder. Haha yes, me is working for Estee Lauder. I will be promoting the latest perfume known as True Star. I will be in posted to one of the many stores in town area. So guys and gals out there, looking for a new scent for a special someone, just hop on down to Scotts Isetan and look for me. I would be there 6 days a week until Nov 14th, so c’mon down and maybe even be nice and buy something from me. =)

See ya soon!
P.S: come visit me whenever you can. Otherwise I would just be so bored. Imagine working in town and not meeting anyone from school. So sad. And if it is a good day, who knows a *treat from me might make your trip to town worthwhile. Haha *no promises though
